Practice with Player Controls

Use playback, seek, speed, spacing, count-in, and keyboard shortcuts while practicing.

The player controls help you shape the practice experience around the passage you are working on.

Steps

  1. Open a song.
  2. Press Play.
  3. Use the count-in to prepare before the first note arrives.
  4. Seek or skip through the timeline.
  5. Adjust speed for difficult passages.
  6. Adjust spacing for visual readability.
  7. Tap exact values for speed, spacing, or count-in when you need precision.
  8. Use keyboard shortcuts such as Space to play or pause, / to jump 5 seconds, and ⌘M to open Audio Mix from the menu.

On Mac and iPad with a hardware keyboard, StringFlow supports quick player actions such as Space for play/pause, and for 5-second jumps, and ⌘M for opening Audio Mix from the menu.
