Import Your First Score

Bring a MusicXML, MXL, XML, MID, or MIDI file into StringFlow.

StringFlow is designed for score files you already have. Import adds the score to your library while keeping the original source file visible.

Supported files

MusicXML (.musicxml, .xml)
Compressed MusicXML (.mxl)
MIDI (.mid, .midi)

Steps

Open the Library.
Choose Import.
Pick a supported file.
Let StringFlow import the song.
Open song detail to choose the playable part or track if the score has several options.
Rename the song if the source filename is not clear.
Review metadata and add collections when useful.

After import

Open the player when you are ready to practice, or stay in song detail to adjust part selection, collections, and practice setup.
